Quality of life and voting behaviour

The French national institute of statistics (INSEE) developed a composite measure of the quality of life in French territories. The index summarises information of human development (health, health, social life) in combination with various socio-economic conditions (quality of employment, income levels, access to societal services).

In light of the results of the first round of de presidential elections in France (23 april 2017) , we analyzed the relationship between the quality of life characterisation of French departments and the corresponding election results.
